Lee > [Cortland Rural] A very common headstone in several non-denominational cemeteries. Many have that center circle, but I don't know what attaches to it.
Lee > [Cortland Rural] The receiving chapel, built in 1922.
Lee > [Cortland Rural] This entrance is across the street from SUNY Cortland. The students have a history of vandalism & drinking in the cemetery, so the entire place was fenced in some time ago. In the 9 years I've been in Cortland this gate has never been opened.
Lee > [Cortland Rural] The limestone headstone is fading fast, and will be unreadable in about 50 years or so. The headstone is also just resting on the base, and is very easy to move. A prime target for vandals.
Lee > [Cortland Rural] The most colored headstone I've seen so far. A nice picture, but I wonder how it'll fare over time.
Lee > [Cortland Rural] The cemetery has a lot of different stones, but this one also seem sout of place for the cemetery and area in general. I wonder if the remains are buried or in the urn.
Lee > [Cortland Rural] The single largest family grave site I've seen in the area. The three rows surrounding the marker are all of the same family.
Lee > [Cortland Rural] The only grave with a greek/roman style. Very out of place for this cemetery.
Lee > [Cortland Rural] This "unfinished" style is in several locations at the cemetery. Some look like design, but others look like work was just stopped.
